Job Description
Join QuikTrip as an Occupational Health Intern focusing on Corporate Wellness! This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment. You will support our Occupational Health and Human Resources teams in developing, implementing, and evaluating wellness initiatives designed to promote a healthy and safe workplace for our employees. This entry-level internship provides comprehensive training and mentorship, allowing you to apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios and contribute directly to employee well-being programs. No prior professional experience in occupational health is required; we are looking for enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate wellness programs and health events.
- Conduct research on best practices in occupational health and corporate wellness initiatives.
- Support the creation of health-related communications and educational materials for employees.
- Help organize and maintain health records and program documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic discussions related to employee health and safety.
- Provide administrative support to the Occupational Health team as needed.
- Contribute to the evaluation of wellness program effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Public Health, Occupational Health, Health Promotion, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Strong interest in corporate wellness, employee health, and safety.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer experience in health promotion or community wellness initiatives.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Experience with data entry or basic data analysis tools.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
