Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote UI/UX Researcher with a dedicated focus on user testing to join our innovative team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the United States. You will be instrumental in understanding user behavior, validating design choices, and driving product improvements through rigorous user research methodologies, particularly emphasizing usability testing, A/B testing, and remote moderated and unmoderated studies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for uncovering insights, a strong command of research tools, and the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations for design and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute a variety of user research studies, with a primary focus on usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), A/B testing, and user interviews.
- Recruit, screen, and manage participants for user testing sessions, ensuring diverse and representative samples.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user pain points, needs, and opportunities for product enhancement.
- Create compelling research reports, presentations, and artifacts that effectively communicate findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user insights into the product development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain a robust repository of user research data and insights.
- Continuously improve research methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and impact.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development process.
- Contribute to the overall user research strategy and roadmap.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in UI/UX research, with a strong emphasis on user testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in designing and conducting usability tests, including developing test plans, scenarios, and scripts.
- Experience with remote user testing platforms and tools (e.g., UserTesting.com, Lookback, Maze).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, concise insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating research findings to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks and analysis.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Portfolio demonstrating previous user research projects and impact.
