Job Description

UPS in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Distribution Centre Order Pickers. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. This is an entry-level position perfect for those eager to learn the ropes of logistics and contribute to a critical operation. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our distribution center, accurately and efficiently fulfilling orders to meet our customers’ needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring product integrity and quantity match order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to locate and track inventory.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks or forklifts after receiving proper training and certification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading orders and counting inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting (not required, but a plus).
- Experience operating material handling equipment (training provided if needed).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
