Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in a high-demand trade? Peaks HVAC & Plumbing is looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as an HVAC Installation Assistant. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with little to no prior experience to learn the HVAC trade from experienced professionals. You’ll work alongside our skilled technicians, gaining practical knowledge and developing valuable skills in HVAC system installation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians with the installation of various HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
- Learn to safely use and maintain hand tools and power tools relevant to HVAC installation.
- Transport equipment and materials to job sites.
- Help prepare job sites by setting up safety measures and organizing tools.
- Perform basic tasks such as cutting and sealing ductwork, running lines, and securing units under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work vehicles, tools, and job sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Actively participate in training sessions and seek opportunities to learn new skills.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various physical positions.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work.
- Basic understanding of hand tools.
- OSHA 10 certification (can be obtained during employment).
