Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in and successfully complete all assigned training programs, both theoretical and practical.
• Assist qualified Journeyman Linemen in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
• Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Operate and maintain a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic tasks such as digging trenches, climbing poles, pulling cable, and preparing work sites under direct supervision.
• Participate in emergency response efforts, including power outage restoration, under supervision.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public.
• Contribute to a positive and safe working environment.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ontario G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Excellent physical stamina and strength, capable of heavy lifting and manual labor.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Eagerness and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• No prior experience in electrical utilities required; full training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., electrical trades, pre-apprenticeship program).
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with manual labor or outdoor work.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles.
