Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) Communications Intern to join our innovative team. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge communication technologies within the aerospace and defense sector. The V2X intern will contribute to projects focused on enhancing connectivity and real-time data exchange between vehicles, infrastructure, and other entities, crucial for future autonomous systems and secure operational environments. This is an entry-level position designed for learning and professional development, providing exposure to real-world applications of V2X technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in researching and evaluating V2X communication standards and protocols (e.g., DSRC, C-V2X).
- Support the development and testing of V2X communication modules and software.
- Collect and analyze data from V2X testbeds and simulations.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate V2X solutions into broader system architectures.
- Contribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts related to communication systems.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of wireless communication principles and networking concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated interest in automotive, aerospace, or advanced communication technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or project experience related to wireless communication, embedded systems, or networking.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Basic knowledge of simulation tools (e.g., NS-3, OMNeT++).
- Previous experience with microcontrollers or single-board computers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
