Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity & Venture Capital Intern to join our team for an immersive deal sourcing experience. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the private equity and venture capital landscape, specifically focusing on the critical initial stages of investment identification. You will work closely with our experienced investment professionals, contributing to market research, industry analysis, and the initial screening of potential investment opportunities. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in finance, entrepreneurship, and a desire to understand the mechanics of investment decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, attractive sectors, and potential investment targets.
- Assist in the proactive sourcing of new deal opportunities through various channels, including industry events, professional networks, and proprietary databases.
- Perform initial screening and analysis of potential investment opportunities, including reviewing pitch decks, financial summaries, and business plans.
- Support the team in preparing concise summaries and presentations on potential target companies for internal review.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our deal pipeline management system.
- Engage in cold outreach and networking efforts to establish initial contact with promising companies and entrepreneurs.
- Provide administrative and research support to the investment team as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity, venture capital, or financial markets.
