Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in hospitality but lack professional experience? Outback Steakhouse in Columbia, MO is looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as Bar and Waiting Staff! No prior experience is required – we believe in potential and providing comprehensive training to help you succeed. You’ll play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. We offer flexible shifts, a supportive team, and weekly tip payouts to ensure your hard work is immediately recognized.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus
- Accurately take food and drink orders
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously
- Prepare and mix various drinks at the bar (training provided)
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and bar
- Anticipate guest needs and provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required
Required Skills
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic

- Basic math skills for order taking and handling payments

- Previous experience in a customer service role (informal experience is welcome!)
- Ability to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or liquor license (where applicable)
