Job Description

In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the freshness and quality of our produce department, directly contributing to our reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming produce shipments for quality, freshness, and adherence to company standards.
- Monitor and rotate produce on display shelves to ensure optimal presentation and minimize waste.
- Remove expired, damaged, or sub-standard produce items promptly.
- Assist with stocking and organizing the produce department as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the produce storage and display areas.
- Communicate any quality issues or discrepancies to the Produce Manager.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about produce when necessary.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), and bend for extended periods.
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (training provided).
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting is a plus, but not required.
