Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant to join our dynamic team at BMI St Albans Clinic. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to our qualified physiotherapists, assisting with the delivery of rehabilitation programs and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and comfortable experience for our patients. Key Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists with patient treatments, including setting up equipment and guiding patients through exercises.
- Prepare treatment areas before and after sessions, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
- Maintain and sterilise physiotherapy equipment according to clinic standards.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling enquiries.
- Monitor and observe patients during exercises, reporting any concerns or progress to the supervising physiotherapist.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Participate in regular team meetings and continuous professional development opportunities.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Basic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, patient management systems).

- Minimum of 6 months experience in a healthcare support or assistant role.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or a related field.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working specifically in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation setting.
