Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and advocacy for victims of crime, including emotional support and crisis intervention.
- Explain the criminal justice process in a clear and understandable manner to victims and their families.
- Accompany victims to court proceedings, interviews, and other related appointments as needed.
- Assist victims in understanding and exercising their rights under state law.
- Facilitate referrals to community resources such as counseling, shelters, medical services, and financial assistance programs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential victim records and case documentation.
- Communicate effectively with prosecutors, law enforcement, and other agencies on behalf of victims.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to victim advocacy and criminal justice.

- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a significant asset.
- Understanding of the criminal justice system and victim rights.
