Job Description

Sleep Country Canada is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Specialty Mattress Sleep Consultant to join our team in Ottawa, ON. This is a high-ticket sales role focused on providing expert advice and personalized consultations to customers seeking premium sleep solutions. You will guide clients through our extensive range of specialty mattresses and accessories, identifying their unique sleep needs and recommending products that ensure ultimate comfort and support. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with customers to understand their sleep preferences, health needs, and budget.
  • Present and demonstrate a diverse range of specialty mattresses, adjustable bases, and sleep accessories.
  • Educate customers on the features, benefits, and technologies of various sleep products.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through effective selling techniques and product knowledge.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting showroom environment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in high-ticket items or consultative selling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • A genuine passion for health, wellness, and the importance of quality sleep.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field.
  • Experience in the mattress, furniture, or home goods industry.
