Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Government Food Assistance Processor to join our Charlottetown office. In this essential role, you will be responsible for processing applications, verifying eligibility, and managing records related to various government food assistance programs. This is an office-based position requiring strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a commitment to public service. You will interact with internal systems and ensure that eligible individuals receive timely and accurate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming applications for food assistance programs with precision and efficiency.
- Verify applicant information against established criteria and government databases.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all applications and decisions.
- Communicate effectively with applicants to gather necessary documentation or clarify information.
- Adhere to all government policies, procedures, and regulations regarding food assistance programs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery.
- Prepare reports on processing volumes, common issues, and service metrics as required.
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding application status or program details.
