Job Description
Are you a self-motivated individual with a knack for organization and a clean driving record? Canteen Canada is seeking a dedicated Vending Machine Snack Restocker to manage an independent route in Calgary. In this vital role, you will be responsible for restocking, maintaining, and providing excellent service to our vending machines at various client locations. A company-provided van will be supplied for your route, ensuring you have the tools you need to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and being on the go.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently restock a variety of vending machines with snacks, beverages, and other products according to established schedules and inventory needs.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for assigned route, including ordering and rotating products.
- Ensure the cleanliness, proper functioning, and appealing presentation of all vending machines on your route.
- Collect cash and monitor electronic payment systems, accurately handling funds and reporting discrepancies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with client contacts at each location, addressing any immediate concerns with professionalism.
- Operate and maintain a company-provided van safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and report any major machine malfunctions or service requirements to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding route status, inventory, and customer feedback.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent in Alberta) with a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the day.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate inventory management and cash handling.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in route driving, delivery services, or vending machine operations.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with handheld inventory devices or mobile routing applications.
