Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Complete and successfully pass all aspects of our comprehensive driver training program.
- Learn to operate various types of transit buses safely and efficiently.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to all passengers.
- Adhere to strict schedules and routes while ensuring passenger comfort and safety.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Handle passenger inquiries, provide route information, and manage fares.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) Nova Scotia driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Willingness to learn and commit to a comprehensive training program.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Capable of understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with the Halifax Regional Municipality road network.
