Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Tire Fitting Technician to join our expanding team in Torquay. This is a vital role where you will be responsible for providing expert tire fitting and repair services directly to our customers at their homes, workplaces, or roadside locations. A fully equipped company van is provided, along with all necessary tools and equipment. This role operates on an on-call roster basis, requiring flexibility and a commitment to customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mobile tire fitting, puncture repairs, and wheel balancing on a variety of vehicles.
- Conduct thorough tire inspections and provide expert advice to customers on tire care and safety.
- Manage and maintain inventory of tires and equipment in the company van.
- Process payments and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience with every interaction.
- Participate in an on-call roster, responding to emergency call-outs as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working order of the company van and equipment.
Required Skills
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence (for at least 12 months)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including participation in an on-call roster.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in tire fitting, automotive repair, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of various tire types and fitting techniques.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Familiarity with the Torquay and surrounding Devon area.
