Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dermatology Clinic Assistant to join our specialist care team in the vibrant Short North Arts District. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about patient care and clinical support within dermatology. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, assisting physicians and nurses, and providing an exceptional experience for our patients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies and instruments.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms, take vital signs, and accurately document medical history and chief complaints.
  • Assist dermatologists with various procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments.
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care instructions and medication usage.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment according to established protocols.
  • Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
  • Previous experience (6+ months) in a medical office or clinic setting, preferably dermatology
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic dermatological procedures
