Job Description

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Distribution Centre team in Trail, BC, as an Order Picker. No prior experience is required for this role – we provide full, comprehensive training to all new team members. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to accurately read labels and count items.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for maintaining operational flow.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous exposure to a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar physically demanding environment is considered an asset, but not mandatory.
