Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Grant Writing Assistant to join our remote team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the success of diverse non-profit organizations across Canada. The ideal candidate will support our senior grant writers and project managers by conducting research, drafting proposals, organizing documentation, and maintaining accurate records. This 100% remote role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for supporting the non-profit sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior grant writers with research on potential funding opportunities and grant guidelines.
- Draft sections of grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other fundraising materials.
- Collect, organize, and maintain supporting documentation for grant applications.
- Proofread and edit grant proposals for clarity, grammar, and adherence to guidelines.
- Maintain an updated database of grant applications, submissions, and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to gather necessary information.
- Support administrative tasks related to grant writing projects as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in G Suite or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
