Job Description

As our Restaurant General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of our Cambridge location. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, service, and guest satisfaction. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader with a proven track record in restaurant management, capable of inspiring a team and achieving outstanding business results. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage all restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Oversee financial performance, including P&L management, budget control, cost management, and sales growth initiatives.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
  • Implement and enforce all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory, stock control, and supplier relationships to ensure optimal product availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Recruit, train, and retain talent, conducting performance reviews, and addressing employee relations issues.
  • Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to drive footfall and enhance brand presence.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a General Manager or senior management role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Excellent financial acumen, including experience with P&L management and budgeting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with guests and team members.
  • A passion for food, service, and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Relevant food safety and hygiene certifications.
  • Experience managing multiple units or a large team.
  • A keen understanding of local market trends and customer preferences.
