Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and highly qualified Foreign Language Teachers to join our dedicated team for the upcoming academic year. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to district curriculum standards and promote language acquisition.
  • Instruct students in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Spanish, French, or Mandarin, fostering cultural appreciation.
  • Assess student progress regularly through various methods and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and communicative classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Foreign Language, or a related field.
  • Fluency (speaking, reading, writing) in at least one of the target languages: Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
  • Demonstrated understanding of second language acquisition theories and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to engage diverse learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid California Teaching Credential (or eligibility/willingness to obtain one).
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience teaching Spanish, French, or Mandarin at the K-12 level.
  • Proficiency in more than one of the target languages.
  • Experience integrating technology into language instruction.
