Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and highly qualified Foreign Language Teachers to join our dedicated team for the upcoming academic year. We have openings for educators specializing in Spanish, French, or Mandarin. This is an incredible opportunity for passionate language instructors to inspire the next generation of global citizens. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to district curriculum standards and promote language acquisition.
- Instruct students in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Spanish, French, or Mandarin, fostering cultural appreciation.
- Assess student progress regularly through various methods and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and communicative classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Foreign Language, or a related field.
- Fluency (speaking, reading, writing) in at least one of the target languages: Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
- Demonstrated understanding of second language acquisition theories and instructional strategies.
- Excellent classroom management skills and ability to engage diverse learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid California Teaching Credential (or eligibility/willingness to obtain one).
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience teaching Spanish, French, or Mandarin at the K-12 level.
- Proficiency in more than one of the target languages.
- Experience integrating technology into language instruction.
