Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Auditor to join our dynamic team in Canary Wharf. As an Auditor at EY, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your audit skills, work with leading professionals, and contribute to the integrity of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in audit engagements from planning to completion.
  • Review financial statements, records, and operations for accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and evaluate internal controls to identify risks and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit documentation and reports.
  • Communicate audit findings effectively to clients and engagement teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client personnel.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in external audit.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS or UK GAAP.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (part-qualified or newly qualified).
  • Experience with a Big Four or large accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools used in auditing.
