Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program to learn all aspects of optometry technician duties.
- Master the use of various diagnostic equipment to perform preliminary eye tests, including visual acuity, tonometry, auto-refraction, and visual field screenings.
- Accurately record patient medical history and test results into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Prepare examination rooms before patient visits, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper equipment calibration.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care, as well as general eye health practices.
- Assist optometrists during examinations as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Manage and organize patient records with strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines (e.g., PHIPA, HIPAA equivalents).
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire optical team to maintain a high standard of patient care.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
