Job Description

The CISSS de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Residential Care Worker for the night shift in Val-d’Or. No prior experience in healthcare is required! As a Residential Care Worker, you will provide essential support and care to residents during the overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' well-being throughout the night, ensuring their safety and security.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks as needed, including toileting, hygiene, and mobility support.
- Respond promptly to residents' calls for assistance and emergencies, following established protocols.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and training.
- Document observations, incidents, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment for residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a sense of comfort and reassurance.
- Communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors, and residents' families as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a significant asset.

- Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
