Job Description
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Immersive Theater & Escape Room Intern to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about interactive storytelling, set design, puzzle creation, and guest experience. You will gain hands-on experience in the conceptualization, development, and operation of immersive entertainment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in a dynamic and innovative industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of new escape room themes and immersive theater experiences.
- Support the creation and maintenance of props, sets, and puzzle mechanisms.
- Learn and contribute to the operational aspects of running escape rooms, including game master duties and guest interaction.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for story development, character arcs, and puzzle integration.
- Provide input on enhancing the overall guest journey and immersion.
- Assist with inventory management and organization of game components.
- Conduct playtesting and gather feedback for ongoing game improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in escape rooms, immersive theater, and interactive entertainment.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools or willingness to learn.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in theater arts, game design, creative writing, or a related field (academic or extracurricular).
- Experience with basic crafting, carpentry, or electronics is a plus.
- A portfolio showcasing creative projects (e.g., short stories, game ideas, art pieces) is welcome but not required.
