Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Boutique Cigar Lounge Host / Retailer to join our exclusive team. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for luxury retail, exceptional customer service, and an interest in the world of cigars. You will be the face of our lounge, greeting guests, assisting with product selection, and ensuring a memorable visit. Training on our extensive cigar collection, proper cutting and lighting techniques, and our point-of-sale system will be provided. Evening shifts are a core component of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, managing reservations and walk-ins.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on our diverse cigar selection, pairings, and accessories.
- Operate the point-of-sale system for retail transactions and lounge service.
- Maintain the pristine appearance and organization of the lounge, humidor, and retail displays.
- Educate guests on cigar etiquette, storage, and proper cutting/lighting techniques.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, and receiving new products.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Ensure all guests have an exceptional and personalized experience.
- Adhere to all provincial regulations regarding tobacco sales and service.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new POS systems.
- Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be 19 years of age or older (legal age for tobacco sales in Ontario).
- Enthusiasm to learn about cigars and luxury retail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (minimum 6 months) in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with luxury products or a genuine interest in cigars/fine spirits.
- Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., French, Mandarin).
