Job Description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Primary / Elementary School Teachers to join our faculty. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences for students in our primary grades. This role involves developing curriculum, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure a holistic educational approach. We are particularly interested in candidates with an international perspective who can enrich our diverse student body and bring innovative teaching methodologies to our classrooms. Support for international candidates, including assistance with relocation and work permits, will be considered for highly qualified applicants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials aligned with the curriculum.
  • Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and welfare.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to implement school programs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide events.
  • Integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Valid teaching certification/license for primary/elementary education (or eligibility for certification in Ontario).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in a primary/elementary setting.
  • Experience teaching in an international or multicultural educational environment.
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based learning or other progressive educational pedagogies.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
