Job Description
Embark on an exciting journey with Experian’s Cybersecurity Internship program for a summer placement. This unique opportunity offers hands-on experience in a dynamic global security team. You will contribute to real-world projects, learn from industry experts, and help protect our critical assets and customer data. This role is designed for students eager to kickstart their career in cybersecurity, offering mentorship and a comprehensive learning experience within a supportive remote environment. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security systems and responding to alerts.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security policies and procedures.
- Support incident response activities and forensic investigations.
- Research emerging security threats and technologies.
- Collaborate with security engineers and analysts on various projects.
- Document security processes and findings.
- Learn to identify and mitigate security risks.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and concepts.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior participation in CTF (Capture The Flag) events or cybersecurity clubs.
