Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Property Move-in Inspector to join our dynamic team in Southampton. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth transition of new tenants into our commercial properties. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of commercial units before and after tenant occupancy, meticulously documenting their condition, and identifying any issues or required maintenance. This position involves regular local travel to various properties within the Southampton area.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-move-in and post-move-out inspections of commercial properties.
- Document the condition of properties, including structural elements, fixtures, fittings, and systems, using detailed reports, photographs, and potentially video.
- Identify and report any maintenance needs, damages, or discrepancies.
- Liaise with property managers, maintenance teams, and tenants to coordinate inspection schedules.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all inspections and findings.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations during inspections.
- Provide clear and concise communication regarding property conditions.
- Assist in resolving any property condition disputes that may arise.
- Adhere to strict deadlines for inspection reports.
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for local travel.
