Job Description
As a Diplomat at JCB, you will serve as a key liaison and representative for the company in complex international relations, trade negotiations, and strategic stakeholder engagement. This pivotal role requires an individual with exceptional communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural understanding to navigate the intricate landscape of global business, policy, and governmental affairs. You will be instrumental in fostering positive relationships with international partners, government officials, and key industry bodies, ensuring JCB’s interests are effectively represented and advanced on the world stage. Your work will directly support our global expansion initiatives, market entry strategies, and compliance with international regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent JCB's interests in high-level international forums, trade delegations, and governmental meetings.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with foreign government officials, trade bodies, and diplomatic missions.
- Negotiate and facilitate complex international agreements, partnerships, and market access initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on international policy developments, geopolitical trends, and their potential impact on JCB's global operations.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective stakeholder engagement in key international markets.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on matters of international relations and corporate diplomacy.
- Ensure JCB's activities align with international ethical standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and policy recommendations for internal and external audiences.
Required Skills
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in international relations, diplomacy, public policy, or global trade.
- Exceptional negotiation and mediation skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities in English.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Demonstrated cross-cultural communication and sensitivity.
- Ability to build and maintain high-level professional relationships.
- In-depth understanding of international political and economic landscapes.
- Proficiency in at least one other major global language (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, French, Arabic).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a diplomatic mission, international organisation, or multinational corporation with a significant global footprint.
- Knowledge of global manufacturing industries and supply chains.
