Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity in healthcare with full training provided? Specsavers in Stratford, London is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Optometry Technician (Trainee). No prior experience in optics is required – we are looking for someone eager to learn, with a passion for helping people and delivering excellent customer service. You will receive comprehensive, hands-on training to perform essential pre-screening tests, assist our optometrists, and ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities

  • Undergo comprehensive training to learn all aspects of the Optometry Technician role.
  • Perform essential pre-screening tests on patients before their consultation with the Optometrist, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, and visual field screenings.
  • Assist patients in understanding the purpose of each test and ensure their comfort throughout the process.
  • Accurately record and manage patient information and test results.
  • Maintain and calibrate optical equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist the Optometrist during examinations as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering patient queries and guiding them through their visit.
  • Learn about various optical products, including frames, lenses, and contact lenses, to assist patients effectively.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge within the optical field.
