Orana Engineering is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Electroplating Assistant to join our growing team in Dubbo, NSW. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in electroplating, as we are committed to providing comprehensive, hands-on training to develop your expertise. As an Electroplating Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our production process, contributing to the high-quality finish of various metal components. You will work alongside experienced technicians, learning the intricacies of electroplating techniques, chemical processes, and quality control procedures. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about precision work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior electroplating technicians with setup, operation, and maintenance of plating equipment.
- Learn and apply various electroplating processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Prepare parts for plating, including cleaning, masking, and racking.
- Monitor plating baths, temperatures, and chemical levels under supervision.
- Perform visual inspections of plated parts for quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Assist with material handling and inventory management.
- Participate actively in all provided training programs and continuous learning initiatives.
