Job Description
Are you looking for an active, outdoor role where you can make a real difference in your community? Australia Post is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as E-bike Posties in Gungahlin, ACT. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and connecting with people. No prior experience is required, as we provide full training to ensure you’re confident and competent in your role. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of mail and parcels using an electric bicycle, ensuring our customers receive their items on time with a friendly face.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail and parcels to homes and businesses using an Australia Post provided e-bike.
- Sort and prepare mail for your designated delivery route each day.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Australia Post safety policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting positively with community members.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working order of your assigned e-bike and equipment.
- Complete daily delivery reports and administrative tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to ride an electric bicycle safely and confidently.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform a physically demanding role outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to safety for yourself and the community.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid Australian driver's license (car or motorcycle) or state-issued ID.
- No prior experience needed – full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of the Gungahlin local area.
- Previous experience in a customer service or outdoor role (desirable, but not essential).
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
