Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Filing & Post Room Clerk to join our team in London, Ontario. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our administrative operations, ensuring that all physical and digital records are managed meticulously and mail is handled promptly. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting various departments by providing essential clerical and mailroom services. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, log, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and inter-office correspondence to appropriate departments and personnel.
- Process outgoing mail, including weighing, franking, and preparing items for postal services or couriers.
- Maintain organized filing systems for physical documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping policies.
- Assist with the scanning and digitalization of documents, ensuring accurate data entry and proper digital archiving.
- Manage and replenish office supplies related to filing and mailroom operations.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of post room equipment (e.g., franking machines, scanners).
- Provide support for basic administrative tasks as required.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all sensitive information and documents.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
