Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Horologist / Master Watchmaker to join our esteemed team in Scunthorpe. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive servicing, repair, and restoration of mechanical and quartz watches, including complex complications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot watch movements, cases, and bracelets with precision.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment for intricate watchmaking tasks, including timing, casing, and sealing.
  • Order and manage spare parts, ensuring authenticity and quality.
  • Maintain meticulous records of work performed and parts used.
  • Adhere to strict quality control standards and brand-specific repair guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior watchmakers, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide accurate repair assessments and timelines.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements, new technologies, and brand-specific training.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Master Watchmaker or Horologist.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and quartz movements, including complex complications.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with a full range of watchmaking tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • WOSTEP, BHI, or equivalent international watchmaking certification.
  • Experience working with luxury watch brands (e.g., Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Breitling).
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus, though not required.
  • Previous experience in a workshop setting with a high volume of diverse repairs.
