Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced People & Performance Lead to join our Corporate HR team in Wangaratta. This pivotal role is central to shaping our people strategy, focusing on talent management, performance frameworks, employee relations, and fostering a high-reward culture within our regional operations. You will be instrumental in driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, productivity, and overall organisational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives aligned with business objectives, specifically within the regional corporate framework.
  • Lead and manage performance management cycles, ensuring fair, consistent, and effective evaluation processes.
  • Advise and support leaders on complex employee relations matters, industrial relations, and performance improvement plans.
  • Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies, including workforce planning, succession planning, and development programs.
  • Analyse HR metrics and data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and company policies.
  • Champion a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and employee well-being.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all people-related issues.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior advisory role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in performance management, talent development, and employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment law and industrial relations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in HR or business.
  • Experience working within the financial services or a large corporate environment.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., AHRI certification).
