Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Mustering Offsiders to join our team for casual day shifts during peak operational periods. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the Australian outback and pastoral industry. You will work alongside experienced station hands, assisting with the movement and management of cattle, ensuring their health and safety. Full training will be provided to the right candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced stockmen and drovers with mustering and moving cattle.
  • Help with drafting, yarding, and loading livestock.
  • Maintain water points and fences as directed.
  • Operate basic farm machinery or vehicles under supervision (e.g., quad bikes, side-by-sides).
  • Perform general station duties and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure the welfare of livestock and adhere to animal handling protocols.
  • Follow all safety procedures and instructions.

  • Physical fitness and ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
  • Experience with horses, motorbikes, or quad bikes (farm experience is a bonus but not essential).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of animal welfare principles.
