Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Linen Assistant to join our logistics team in Coffs Harbour. This vital role supports both hotel and hospital environments by ensuring a seamless flow of clean linen and efficient management of soiled items. You will be responsible for the collection, sorting, distribution, and inventory of linen, playing a critical part in maintaining hygiene standards and operational efficiency across various sites. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in logistics and facility services.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect soiled linen from designated areas within hotels and hospitals.
- Sort linen according to type, material, and required cleaning process.
- Load and unload linen into transport vehicles and processing equipment.
- Distribute clean linen to wards, rooms, and other required departments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of linen stock.
- Operate and maintain linen management equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to hygiene and infection control protocols.
- Report any damage or shortages in linen stock.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, tidy, and organized.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to manage inventory and follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a logistics, laundry, or hospital/hotel environment (desirable but not essential).
- Current driver's license (advantageous for inter-site transfers).
