Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Wodonga. This skilled role is crucial for managing the intricate details of international shipments, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, and optimizing logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of export documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding, playing a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth and efficient movement of goods across borders. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
  • Ensure full compliance with Australian and international trade regulations, customs laws, and Incoterms.
  • Process export bookings, track shipments, and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Resolve any issues or delays related to customs clearance, freight, or documentation promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of all export activities, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies in export operations.
  • Handle client inquiries regarding shipping status, regulations, and export procedures.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in export coordination or international logistics.
  • Proficiency in export documentation, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms 2020.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific logistics software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, CargoWise).
  • Customs broker license or completion of relevant industry certifications.
  • Fluency in an additional language relevant to international trade.
