Job Description
Are you passionate about mechanics and eager to learn in a dynamic, exciting environment? Atlantic Adventures Theme Park is offering an incredible opportunity to start your career as an Apprentice Amusement Park Ride Mechanic. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with no prior experience in mechanics who are committed to safety, detail-oriented, and ready to be trained from the ground up. You will learn the critical skills needed to inspect, maintain, and repair our thrilling rides, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. Full training will be provided by our experienced team of certified technicians, guiding you through every aspect of ride mechanics, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and perform routine inspections of all park rides and attractions under supervision.
- Assist certified mechanics with preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, operating procedures, and industry regulations.
- Participate actively in all training sessions and workshops to develop mechanical expertise.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repair work performed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding ride status and issues.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in learning.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and a Science or Technical subject.
- Previous experience in a hands-on or technical hobby (e.g., car maintenance, model building).
- A genuine enthusiasm for theme parks and mechanical systems.
- Valid UK driving license (desirable for future progression).
