Job Description
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive Nanny / Mother’s Helper to join our team in Shepparton. This part-time role offers flexible hours, perfect for someone looking to integrate work with other commitments while providing invaluable support to local families. You will be responsible for assisting with childcare, light household tasks, and creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging care for children of varying ages, as required by the family.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, including creative play, outdoor excursions, and educational games.
- Assist with children's routines, such as meal preparation, feeding, bathing, and bedtime.
- Perform light household duties related to children's care, including tidying play areas, children's laundry, and meal clean-up.
- Assist mothers or primary caregivers with daily tasks, offering an extra set of hands and support.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the children at all times.
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding children's activities, development, and any concerns.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and household rules as communicated by the family.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in childcare or a similar helper role (minimum 12 months).
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Ability to adapt to different family dynamics and routines.
- Genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working as a nanny, au pair, or mother's helper.
- References from previous childcare roles.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including some evenings or weekends if needed.
