Job Description
Are you passionate about the beauty industry and looking for an exciting entry point? The Blanche Macdonald Centre is seeking a motivated and friendly Cosmetology School Receptionist to join our vibrant Vancouver campus. This is an entry-level opportunity perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn and grow within a dynamic educational setting. As the first point of contact for our students, visitors, and staff, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient front-desk experience. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all students, prospective students, and visitors to the campus.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency.
- Manage appointment scheduling for student services, admissions, and faculty meetings.
- Provide accurate information and assistance regarding school programs, events, and general inquiries.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it remains tidy, organized, and presentable.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Process payments and maintain records as required.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth campus operations.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and professionalism at all times.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic proficiency with computer systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- No prior experience required; we welcome enthusiastic entry-level candidates.
