Job Description
Are you ready to kickstart your career in hospitality? Cazalys Palmerston Club is urgently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Hands to join our dynamic culinary team. No previous experience? No problem! We believe in potential and providing opportunities. If you’re eager to learn, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and want to start working this week, we want to hear from you. Full training will be provided to ensure you’re confident and capable in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., washing, peeling, chopping vegetables).
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all work areas are tidy and organised throughout the shift.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and correct quantities.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Perform other duties as required to support kitchen operations.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
