Job Description

Join our dedicated team at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital as a Clinic Admin Support professional for part-time day shifts. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for many of our patients, playing a crucial part in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of our clinic by providing essential administrative and clerical support. We are looking for an organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented individual eager to support our healthcare providers and patients during daytime hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and checking in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments, managing appointment calendars.
  • Answering multi-line phone systems, directing calls, and taking accurate messages.
  • Verifying patient insurance information and collecting co-pays.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, both electronic and physical.
  • Assisting with general office duties such as filing, scanning, and faxing.
  • Coordinating with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Handling patient inquiries and providing information in a clear and helpful manner.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, email).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer service-oriented approach with a compassionate attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Minimum 6 months of administrative or customer service experience.

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.
