Job Description

Parramatta Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Entry Level Vet Clinic Helper to join our dedicated team. No prior experience is required, as we are committed to providing comprehensive on-the-job training to the right candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the well-being of animals in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians and veterinary nurses with animal restraint during examinations and procedures.
- Cleaning and maintaining clinic facilities, including kennels, examination rooms, and surgical areas, to ensure a sterile and hygienic environment.
- Feeding, watering, and providing comfort to hospitalised animals.
- Laundering towels, blankets, and other clinic linens.
- Restocking supplies and medications.
- Assisting with basic administrative tasks, such as filing and answering phones, as needed.
- Maintaining a respectful and compassionate demeanor towards animals, clients, and colleagues.
Required Skills
- Genuine love and compassion for animals.

- Ability to follow instructions meticulously.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20kg and stand for extended periods.

- Previous experience volunteering at an animal shelter or similar environment (though not required, it is a plus!).
