Job Description
Join our team as a Drivers Mate / Porter, playing a crucial role in our delivery operations. This entry-level position is perfect for reliable individuals who are eager to work and contribute to efficient deliveries. You will assist our drivers with loading, unloading, and safely delivering goods to various customer locations, ensuring excellent service and adherence to schedules. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with the safe loading and unloading of goods at various sites.
- Ensure goods are handled with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Help navigate and guide the driver to delivery locations, especially in challenging areas.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon arrival and during delivery.
- Verify accuracy of delivered items against delivery notes.
- Maintain a clean and tidy delivery vehicle.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
