Job Description
Join our dynamic global team as a Remote Language Translator and contribute to meaningful projects from the comfort of your home. This role offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing you to translate documents at your own pace, managing your workload to fit your lifestyle. We are looking for talented individuals with native-level fluency in at least two languages (source and target) who are passionate about language and dedicated to delivering high-quality translations. While previous professional translation experience is a plus, we welcome enthusiastic individuals with strong linguistic skills and a commitment to learning. This is a 100% remote position, providing you with the autonomy to work effectively from anywhere with an internet connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate a variety of document types, including technical, marketing, legal, and general content, accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all translations maintain the original meaning, context, and tone.
- Adhere to project-specific guidelines, glossaries, and style guides.
- Perform self-review and quality assurance checks on all translated materials.
- Manage your time effectively to meet deadlines for assigned translation tasks.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with project managers regarding any challenges or questions.
- Utilize translation memory (TM) and terminology management tools to ensure consistency.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in at least one target language and advanced fluency in at least one source language.
- Excellent written communication skills in both source and target languages.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
- Reliable internet connection and a personal computer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast).
- A degree or certification in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Specialization in a particular subject matter (e.g., medical, legal, IT).
- Familiarity with style guides and localization best practices.
