Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TIG/MIG Welder to join our dynamic team in Airdrie, Alberta. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, to industry codes and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and other technical documents to determine appropriate welding processes and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure quality, adherence to specifications, and structural integrity.
  • Fabricate and repair metal structures, pipe, and equipment according to project requirements.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project completion on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience as a TIG/MIG Welder in an industrial or fabrication setting.
  • Proficiency in both TIG (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) and MIG (Gas Metal Arc Welding) processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Strong understanding of welding procedures, materials, and quality control standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Welder certification (Red Seal endorsement preferred).
  • Current CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certifications.
  • Experience in the oil and gas, pipeline, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of various welding positions (e.g., 6G) and pipe welding experience.
  • Additional welding certifications (e.g., FCAW, SMAW).
