Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Drivers Mate in Great Yarmouth. As a Drivers Mate, you will play a crucial role in assisting our delivery drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of parcels to residential and business customers across the local area. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and capable in your role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in logistics with a supportive and growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading parcels at the depot and customer locations.
- Help navigate routes and ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally with recipients.
- Ensure the safe handling and transport of all parcels.
- Maintain clear communication with the driver and depot staff.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support the driver in completing delivery paperwork and logs.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry parcels of varying weights.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
