Job Description

Woolworths Group in Burnie is offering an exciting ‘Internship – IT Intern – Support & Networking’ opportunity. This hands-on internship is perfect for those eager to begin their career in information technology, specifically focusing on IT support and basic networking. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to internal staff, troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new computers, peripherals, and software.
  • Monitor network performance and connectivity, reporting and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates and backups.
  • Document IT processes, solutions, and inventory for knowledge management.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on various projects related to IT infrastructure and system improvements.
  • Participate in daily IT operations, learning about service desk procedures and incident management.

  • Experience with personal computer hardware and software installation/troubleshooting (e.g., building a PC, fixing home network issues).
